The radiance of natural freshness
Its scent is lively, bright, and immediately recognizable. From the very first moments, it releases a sparkling freshness that evokes a sun-ripened fruit, freshly picked from the tree. Its brilliance awakens the senses and brings a feeling of lightness and spontaneity to the compositions.
Grown for centuries along the Mediterranean shores, lemon is one of the great ingredients in perfumery. Behind its apparent simplicity lies an essential oil of great finesse, capable of adding depth and balance to the most delicate creations.
Lemon opens the fragrance like opening a window onto a sunlit garden.

A citrus fruit grown in tune with the seasons
At Aimée de Mars, we select an essential oil of lemon (Citrus limon) grown in Italy (Sicily).
The lemon trees benefit from a Mediterranean climate where the alternation of sun, rain, and sea spray promotes the development of particularly aromatic fruits. Once ripe, the lemons are harvested and their zest is gently cold-pressed to preserve all the freshness and richness of their aromatic molecules.
Each harvest reflects the work of the producers and the balance of a terroir shaped by the seasons. It is this authenticity that gives the lemon all its liveliness and elegance.
Like all the materials selected by Aimée de Mars, the lemon is chosen for the quality of its origin, respect for its cultivation, and its ability to express the beauty of life even in the fragrance.
A note that makes the chords shine
In perfumery, lemon is an essential top note.
It provides an immediate freshness, brightens floral accords, energizes citrus notes, and creates a subtle contrast with woods and resins. Just a few drops are enough to give momentum to a composition and reveal the materials that follow.
On the skin, its development is lively and radiant. Its freshness is expressed from the first minutes before gradually giving way to the heart notes, which it naturally accompanies.
In Aimée de Mars creations, lemon brings that sensation of light that opens the fragrance with simplicity and elegance.

-
A COLD EXTRACTION
Lemon essential oil is obtained by mechanical expression of the peel (sfumatrice). This method preserves all the freshness and aromatic complexity of the fruit.
-
AN EMBLEMATIC MATERIAL OF TOP NOTES
Lemon is one of the first scents you notice. Its freshness immediately sets the tone of the composition before allowing the other elements to unfold.
-
A FRESHNESS WITH MANY FACETS
Behind its sparkling character, the lemon also reveals green nuances, slightly floral and sometimes almost sweet, which enrich the most refined compositions.
To be found in our creations
Lemon reveals all its freshness in Mystique Améthyste, Bois 21, Eau 21, Soleil 21, Sensuelle Sulis and Pétillante Aurore. Combined with citrus, flowers, and woods, it brings a bright, luminous, and naturally sparkling opening.
