At Aimée de Mars, we select a patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) grown in Indonesia, the native land of this iconic plant.
After harvesting, the leaves are carefully dried before being steam distilled. This step is essential: it allows the fragrance to develop its full richness, gradually revealing its woody, earthy, and delicately amber facets.
Patchouli is a material that improves with time. Like a fine wine, its essential oil gains roundness and elegance over months, sometimes even years.
