The flower that dances with the light
Its scent is generous, sunny, and deeply floral. It reveals creamy, slightly fruity, and subtly spicy facets that evolve over the hours with surprising softness. Both luminous and enveloping, it brings a natural sensuality to compositions, never excessive.
Originating from tropical regions, ylang-ylang is one of the great flowers of perfumery. Its fragrance has exceptional richness, capable of brightening a floral bouquet while adding depth to woody or amber accords.
It evokes a flower caressed by the wind, bathed in sunlight, and full of life.

A flower harvested in harmony with nature
At Aimée de Mars, we select an ylang-ylang (Cananga odorata) grown in Madagascar.
The flowers are handpicked at full bloom, when their fragrance reaches its full intensity. They are then steam-distilled to obtain an essential oil that preserves the richness and subtlety of their many aromatic facets.
This distillation requires patience and precision. Depending on its duration, it reveals fresher, more floral, or more enveloping nuances, making ylang-ylang a material of remarkable complexity.
Like all the materials selected by Aimée de Mars, ylang-ylang is chosen for the quality of its origin, the expertise of the producers who cultivate it, and the respect for life that accompanies each harvest.
A material that brings harmony and sensuality
In perfumery, ylang-ylang is a major heart note.
It enhances white flowers, warms woods, softens resins, and creates a natural connection with citrus. Its olfactory richness adds roundness to compositions while maintaining great freshness.
On the skin, its scent evolves slowly. The initial floral and sunny facets gradually reveal a creamier, velvety softness that accompanies the trail with elegance.
In Aimée de Mars creations, ylang-ylang brings a warm light and natural sensuality that enrich the accords without ever weighing them down.
