A plant grown with patience
At Aimée de Mars, we select sage (Salvia officinalis) grown in France.
This perennial plant thrives in sunny soils and well-drained terrain, where it gradually develops the full richness of its aromatic leaves. Harvested at maturity, they are then steam-distilled to obtain an essential oil that captures all the freshness and complexity of the plant.
The climate, terroir, and expertise of the producers all contribute fully to the quality of this material, whose fragrance evolves with the seasons.

In perfumery, sage is an aromatic ingredient with a strong character.
It brings liveliness to compositions, complements citrus notes, interacts with woods, and creates an elegant contrast with flowers and resins. Its scent provides a sensation of vegetal freshness that naturally balances the accords.
