At Aimée de Mars, we select an Osmanthus absolute (Osmanthus fragrans) from China, where this flower has held a special place for centuries.
Associated with luck, love, and prosperity, Osmanthus traditionally scents gardens and certain teas. Its blooming period is brief, and its particularly delicate flowers must be harvested and processed quickly to preserve all their aromatic finesse.
The absolute is obtained through extraction, a process that captures the complexity of the fresh flower: its apricot sweetness, tea nuances, peach skin accents, and a slightly leathery depth.
This exacting process makes osmanthus a rare material. Every step, from harvest to processing, requires precision and speed to preserve the fragile balance of its fragrance.
